… It appears it is not possible to get straight answers nor hold debates leading to consensus based conclusions under our current polarized political climate … If “we” demand better legislation then “we” need to elect a better quality public servant …
GOP attacks public employee unions

One of the Senate’s more outspoken Democrats said a package of bills unveiled late Tuesday was a push by Republicans to “bust the unions” before the November election strips the GOP of its super majority in the House and Senate.
Sen. Steve Gallardo said that’s the reason behind the four union-related bills scheduled to be heard in a Senate committee this morning. Gallardo, who is a due-paying member of AFSME, says the proposals are a last-ditch effort by Republicans.
