The Trump administration is a nepotistic operation that puts family interests ahead of country.

The House overwhelmingly passed a bill to fund the government for one week, to avert a government shutdown at midnight.

The stopgap spending measure now heads to the Senate, where it is expected to be easily approved. Lawmakers plan to pass a broader spending package next week to fund the government through September.

A federal court has granted the Trump administration’s request to pause the lawsuit against the EPA’s Clean Power Plan while the agency works to repeal the rule.

The D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals’ decision makes it easier for President Donald Trump to repeal what had been the crown jewel of President Barack Obama’s climate change agenda. The landmark rule sought to curb power plant carbon dioxide emissions 32 percent below 2005 levels by 2030.
