WE ARE ALL CONNECTED

…WE ARE ALL CONNECTED…

imageWhy is this so difficult to comprehend, accept, believe…???

Those things which we choose to see as separating us … pigment of our skin, color of our eyes, the language we speak, the manner in which we express our religious spirituality are minimal, miniscule…

imageThey are immensely outweighed by our common physical characteristics, those situations which universally immediately elicit our laughter, our smile, the bonding with family, children that which spontaneously motivates us to sing, dance and cry…

More anything else that which unquestionably connects us … is this planet we inhabit … Earth … which like it or not  …we share … for better or worse…

imageThis we do know … The earth does not belong to man; man belongs to the earth. This we know. All things are connected like the blood which unites one family. All thing are connected. Whatever befalls the earth befalls the sons of the earth. Man did not weave the web of life, he is merely a strand in it. ….attributed to Chief Seattle…

What strikes me as an imperative … WE … need acknowledge is it matters not the size of any nation, nor its military prowess, nor its reputed economic dominance, nor its coveted natural resources.

What matters is … like it or not … WE … share this one single biosphere and whatever action WE take … positive or negative … impacts … everyone, everywhere…

Mother Nature did not hand out any “get-out-of-jai-free-cards” … Whatever we do and whenever we do … has consequences positive or negative…

The emotions and actions WE allow to be cavalier expressed … have Earth on a path polluting all sources of water, air, poisoning our oceans, contaminating our land … and WE call this progress…???

Answer me this … in the final analysis … who actually benefits from this…???

…Are there any humans or have WE successfully snuffed out all forms of life…???

Is this the “web” WE really want to be as part of…???

…What does it take for all of us to say … enough is enough…???
